Mark Kwapiszeski

Mark Kwapiszeski is the Executive Chief Information Officer of Corporate Functions Technology for The PNC Financial Services Group.

In this role, he is accountable for the technical delivery and operations for the systems used by PNC’s Corporate Functions, including Human Resources, Finance, Enterprise Risk, Security, and various other Enterprise Technology capabilities. This organization is uniquely aligned to support internal customers that are shared services functions across the bank that support PNC lines of business.

He formerly served as the head of the Enterprise Fraud Organization. In this role he was responsible for preventing, detecting, investigating, and managing fraud throughout PNC while enabling increasing business growth. The organization builds customer trust by enhancing customer choice and control by balancing customer disruption and preventing losses.

Prior to joining PNC in November 2022, Kwapiszeski was executive vice president of Shared Components & Security Solutions for Mastercard. In that role, he led the technology organization for the Cyber and Intelligence line of business where he built critical fraud products like real-time fraud monitoring, consumer authentication, disputes, and several others. Simultaneously, he was responsible for the product management and technical delivery of critical enterprise technology products, including Mastercard’s customer platform, big data, financial and billing, cybersecurity and other business support products.

Prior to that role, he led the Digital Payments technology team where he oversaw the creation of key digital assets including push payments, digital wallets, and card digitization. During his 26 years at Mastercard, he held many roles across the company, including technology auditing, data engineering, enterprise architecture, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Saint Louis University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Eastern Missouri and an advisory board member at St. Dominic High School in O’Fallon, Missouri.
